How to write a clear project brief before contacting an agency
A clear project brief saves weeks of back-and-forth and gets you a more accurate quote. These are the points to cover.

Before you contact any software company, spend half an hour writing a simple description of your project. That brief is the basis of the quote and the timeline, and the clearer it is, the more accurate both will be.
1. The goal
What should the site achieve? More sales, bookings, presenting your services? One clear goal beats ten general ones.
2. Your audience
Who will use the site? Their age, their devices and what they look for most. This decides the design and how the content is ordered.
3. Pages and features
- The essential pages
- Features required in the first release
- Features that can wait for a second phase
- Any systems to connect (payments, shipping, CRM)
4. Examples you like
Send us sites or apps you like and tell us why. Examples convey the feel you want faster than any description.
5. Budget and timeline
Even rough figures help. Knowing the budget and expected date lets us propose the right solution instead of a quote far from what you expect.
